Discrete burnable poisons like the Wet Annular Burnable Absorber and Pyrex have been used in PWR core to improve power distribution provide more negative moderator temperature coefficient. The absorber poison rods burns fast is completely gone after one cycle exposure core. Traditionally, are designed be part of fuel assembly. They burned together with first loading discharged cycle. In recent years, different insertion scenarios introduced plants operation performance, for instance, fresh inserted into a assembly; stay original assembly or replaced A Generic Insert Methodology [1] was developed Westinghouse implemented NEXUS/ANC9 code system. With this new methodology, ANC9 able follow history model all types insert components kinds scenarios. An extensive methods validation qualification effort has completed by modeling cases. This paper provides details cases along analysis results.
